i am very upset with technology today
i was using my photo gallery app and noticed that it had a bunch of folders for my various music folders, 'cause I have the album art in there.
out of curiosity i see if there's a way to hide the folders, and there is, so I do that.
apparently what it did was put a ".nomedia" file in each of those folders.
so now *NONE* of my fucking apps can see whatever's in those folders.

so i had to manually go through and delete each .nomedia file.
and now *some* apps can see the folders again, but my music player *refuses*.
i've fucking uninstalled and reinstalled it and it just just won't fucking see my goddamn music folders.
tried renaming a file as well and telling it to rescan my music library, still nothing.
i fucking hate technology today.

@Decimal the abstraction of files on phone OSes was one of the worst things that could've happened. Trying to transfer soundtracks to my phone has become an exercise in abject frustration because they also make it so you can't easily access external storage once you've installed it, IF your phone even has it

@elfi I just plug in my phone directly into my computer and use the internal storage.
