So, "Open"AI is now apparently getting incredibly paranoid about getting "their intellectual property" – that would be the model weights apparently – stolen that they want to make GPUs cryptographically signed and trackable in a DRM kinda way, so when people run stuff locally they will have to accept the DRM black box.

Might also be a way to lock out competitors. Weren't AI dolts talking about democracy just a little while ago?
