I feel like I've had more opportunities to roleplay lately, but I'm still kind of struggling to get an ongoing story going that's exciting to me like stuff I've gotten to do in the past. It seems hard to make up stuff on the spot to escape just characters idly talking to each other; I have tried a bit, though I have learned that things that are exciting to me aren't always things other people also care about.
I feel like it would help a lot to know more people with cute (ideally mascot aesthetic) characters with magic or cool powers, so we have a better chance of having something exciting happen. I know of a few but for most of them the people playing them have been unavailable for a long time.
@NovaSquirrel yeah, kind of running into that issue thinking of where to go with ongoing stuff too... I guess I could poke them to see what they're up to and if they've got the time and energy to spare
