Thread: OK, so today I dared to do a damage assessment on the #Amiga 2000 mainboard.
First I saw a pulled via, a lifted trace and some legs stuck in the holes.
I tried to remove the stuck legs and noticed a lifted pad as well.

After further investigation I saw that mostly the top side was affected.
On the lifted pad I scratched off the soldermask from the trace an soldered a piece of VeroWire to it.
Shaped it like a ?, inserted a rivet and wrapped the wire around it.

On the second lifted trace I proceeded in a similar way.
Cut away the lifted trace, scratched off the soldermask and soldered a VeroWire to it. Inserted a rivet and wrapped around the wire.
The tricky part was to remove the wire insulation first.

In order to be able to hammer down on the rivets, I had to use two pieces of iron as a platform.
One of them served as an anvil and counterpart to the hammer.

Final result looks OK, still missing the new soldermask and I hope I won't mess it up when I try to remove the kapton tape.
