it seems the #1 time it does anything, it's deciding that your second input device isn't transmitting for 0.1 microseconds so now it's switching back to input device 1 instead. because fuck you

oh, you rebooted and it took SLIGHTLY too long to initialize the display?

BACK TO INPUT ONE FOR YOU! HAVE FUN FIDDLING AROUND WITH MONITOR BUTTONS YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE, PUNK

remember when monitors had buttons on the front instead of the back? that was nice.

also I know there's no reason for my LCD to have a degauss button

but fuck you, I want one anyway.

hmm. if I switch inputs immediately after booting this raspi, I see it start up, and start to boot, then it goes out of signal and then WHOOPS HDMI SWITCH

either my raspi is powering itself off as it boots (weird, but possible I guess) or when it switches from the text-mode boot screen to the... graphical text mode screen? it's going out of range and this monitor is deciding it doesn't like it anymore

I can't really tell which is happening BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE THE SCREEN

I could SSH into it and see what it says, but I can't SSH into it because I don't know the IP. that's why I needed the screen

@foone god, if I had a nickel for every time I had to portscan my own network just to find my raspberry pi
