Charging a twitter subscription for all is like when artists run polls on twitter and say "would you buy Y if I made and sold it?" and 99% of people respond "yes" and then when you actually do it, there's crickets. Elon should know by the data that the people who supported the idea of Blue and the people who actually bought Blue are probably a fraction of a percentage.

You'd also hope he'd know that putting the basic twitter subscription at $4 compared to Blue at $8 will not double that number. The percentage drop-off between $0 spent and $1 spent is MASSIVE on literally anything in the entire world that uses money. People who are not paying money will think very hard before spending any money, even a very very very small amount, even once, let alone a subscription.
