finally caved and made an openai account (one of my courses required me to). the first thing I did was ask chatgpt technical questions about how cloth physics might have worked in a hypothetical licensed Columbo game for the N64
I asked it if using a 2D array of structs to store the cloth vertices would be a better idea (it was insistent on using a linked list). it proceeded to give an example of a 1D array
@koko That's how it goes, doesn't it? It never actually tries to gives you a right answer, just an answer that sounds right. Without being directed to the right points in its dataset, it's just bullshitting with unfound confidence
