Sometimes I feel like there's pressure on me to make game dev progress that I can show off, because showing off game dev progress seems to be the main way to socialize with other people in my hobby. Though the fact that it is a hobby for me tends to make me feel out of place a lot; I don't really meet very many people who are just making cool stuff for the fun of it.

Most game dev related chat I see that isn't updates is specific to Game Maker or 3D, and I can't join in on those conversations.
