Someone suggested I make a literal "boomer shooter" for my queer FPS concept Daemonica, so I made its BFG (boomer-firing gun) the Soul Cannon an oblique reference.
"A salvaged superweapon made barely demon-portable. It's said this once claimed the lives of children to fire, but Hell has no shortage of bigoted old men, which work just as well."
