I've taken in my old roommate's cat as of yesterday, since she was struggling badly in his new place with his girlfriene and her cat, and have been busy trying to help her adjust.

She was really withdrawn and frightened at first to the point where she was barely eating, but thankfully after the first 24 hours and focused care she's doing lots better. Still a bit jumpy over the smallest noises but she's comfortable to lay beside me or wander off to explore when my new roommates aren't roaming.

Maybe she'll adjust to them too once she has her bearings!
