UK pol, local election rambling
My ward has actually re-elected the Labour councillor originally elected in 2018.
This surprised me then but I could pin to Corbyn's rise of popularity I guess???
2021's election the Lib Dems retained their seat (with a healthy majority) so that Labour councillor must be genuinely touching base with their constituents.

Also if you're wondering why I have so many elections to cite it's because my council fucking does things sensibly and assigns three councillors to a ward and elects them on a rotating basis
It's still dismally FPtP but honestly it does mean the council is a better barometer of how the borough feels. Well, those of us that vote in local elections.
