the struggle of wanting to place my fursona as a synth in the near future but having no idea how to justify them being built
I don't want them to be "me but TFed" because I would not saddle an internal idealized self with the burden of having previously been a gross human
I don't want them to be "robot made for utilitarian purposes that became sentient" either because their design just absolutely would not make sense for that
I don't want them to be "sentient robot someone made just because" because that places too much emphasis on a hypothetical creator that I don't care to figure out the motives of or my supposed relationship to them
