So like, I know everyone likes to talk about how eldensoulsborne games are all always about cycles of rebirth and have broken dogs and poison swamps and stuff, but I don't see a lot of engagement with Miyazaki's seeping suspicion of the church but fascination with cathedrals. It seems like religion is his nemesis but religious architecture is his favorite, and honestly? That's so valid
@Bugaboo I mean I totally get it so I just look at all the trefoils and gilded statues in Anor Londo, nod solemnly, and go "mood, miyazaki, mood" before going in there and painting the marble red
