"Stream Deck" comes to mind, but also Streamdecks are expensive AF for what they are and also have weird cloud driver lock-in BS.
I just need something not on my normal keyboard that lets me mute my mic, switch scenes in OBS, and lock my software KVM to one system.
@trysdyn an entry-level MIDI pad controller might be good for that task! They usually run standard USB-HID MIDI, optionally programmable through SysEx commands. I've got a launchpad mini for that + music, though something simpler like the korg nanopad might be more your speed
@trysdyn I do recommend my dad's advice to shopping around the used markets for anything in the professional audio field like that though, especially for anything fancier, because a lot of the people playing with this stuff like to buy the latest shiny thing

@trysdyn yee, the launchpad series is probably more buttons than you'd want cuz' it's more generalist, but "handful of specialized buttons" brings to mind pad controllers, and while there are very simple ones out there like the nanopad, I realized while typing that anything with mixers would be useful for streaming as a bonus
