At a clinic for follow up on my back, and work instructed me that after that, if my restrictions change at all, to come in for the remainder of my shift.
But at this point... I came in pretty soon after they opened, and I haven't even begun the check-in process.
I'm more or less fine with this taking up enough time that I won't have enough time in my shift left.

Filled out paperwork, but still waiting to be called in. At this point I'll only have like, 2.5 hours left by the time I could make it to work.
Fuck work, hope the clinic takes its time.

Been taken to a room, but they can't find my medical records in the database, so it's taking extra time.
I legit hope it takes like, another 30-40 minutes, because at that point I'll have less than two hours left in my shift, so even if I could go in, they wouldn't let me because of how little time I'd have.

Hee hee, through no fault of my own, my follow up appointment has taken so long that at this point, even if I were to hop in my car right now and drive to work, I'd only have one hour of work left.
I think this is the only time I'll ever be happy that an appointment has taken nearly half of my day cx

And that settles it! Doctor asked some questions, asked me to point to where it hurt, gave me a nee sheet of restrictions.
Went to my car, called work, told them the new restrictions, and the person I talked to said that I would be staying home until my next follow up, on the 30th!
Unless another HR person says otherwise, I'm off until new years!
