if you put a liquid on a solid thing but it remains a liquid, are you eating that liquid or drinking it
at what point does a liquid/solid mix count as eating vs drinking, ie boba tea vs vinegar on fries. or a lava cake. or a soup dumpling.
do you consider soup 'drinking' or 'eating'.
do you consider say, ketchup, to be a Liquid
@Runner I think the distinction lies not in its matter phase, but whether the purpose is to quench vs. nourish
@elfi what about protien shakes. they're designed to nourish but generally are drank and not eaten
@Runner hmm, no, you're right. Perhaps in the use of utensils then...
Granted there are always exceptions to the rule so we will never find a neatly-fitting category
@elfi is a straw a utensil. why and why not
as an aside my mom always used to say "drink your soup"
@Runner Well yes, but a utensil associated with drinking
Did she serve you soup in a cup?
@elfi nope, regular ol spoon and bowl
