As a wee thing I actually had the pleasure of playing Oregon Trail on an original Apple IIe. It was a heck of an experience because that was considerent "Ancient" even when I was a kid.

Anyway back then I was really into Fatal Fury and King of Fighters. So I named my family family after KOF characters. Terry, Mai, etc. Well while I was setting up one of my classmates plunked down and went "PUT ME IN PUT ME IN" so I did, begrudgingly.

As we departed he looked at the name list and went "Terry? Why'd you name someone Terry? That's a crappy name". Before he could even finish asking, I got the familiar pop up that his character had died, 2 days out of town.

Yup. He died of dissing Terry.
