theres a scifi trope of like, a death world type place thats SO hostile and its linked to an alien species thats super tough to kill and all that
but, like,
wouldn't it make more sense for such a world to foster a strongly social species thats a little less "im the strongest warrior in the galaxy and nothing can hurt me" and a little more "i've known you for five minutes and i've decided to adopt you" range
