winamp, foobar2000, MPC-HC have all stayed almost exactly the same for the past... 15 years? more? and any one of those things is lighter and more featureful than any of its streaming equivalents
VLC too, probably!
@proto audacious and clementine too, over in the linux space o/ audacious even lets you use winamp skins
@elfi lol yeah I didn't trust myself to speak for linux apps because all I've really used are mplayer and, to a lesser extent, mpv
