I wanna be able to print big things, so I had to spend another $90ish dollars on equipment to set up Octoprint to monitor my 3d printer while I'm at work.
@bunny_jane I considered doing similar with a raspberry pi camera while toying with the idea of setting up a zero W as a fileserver for my resin printer, but it didn't really go anywhere because local retailers were sold out or marked up to heck ;;
@elfi fwiw everything ive read online says that the pi zero doesn't have enough power to remotely monitor prints with a camera. But that might just be with Octoprint.
Anyways I think the prices have come down a bit now. I ordered an RPi4 for $35 and a 1080 webcam for $30.
