Something I miss about the late 1900's is fake internets in video games.

Front Mission 3, the first few Armored Cores, and the Gamecube Matrix game all had fake internets that were fun to poke around in and added a lot of atmosphere to the game. I'm sure there were others but I liked those in particular.
