mh? brain stuff
It's frustrating that I can't turn off thinking, and often it's constantly self-checking and rechecking and second-guessing.
One prime example where this is a problem is when my conscious thoughts start coming unglued as I transition to sleep. My self-checks catch it, and often it acknowledges it as nominal, or in appropriate cases not nominal and jolts me awake. What sucks is that it too is affected by my transition to sleep, so sometimes it not only fails to recognize I'm trying to sleep, it does so with a large dose of panic because it fails to recognize *why* my thoughts are coming unglued.
My kingdom for a proper ACPI-defined set of sleep states or a brain kernel patch
