Dreamt about some sort of weirdly convoluted chess variant with a 9x9 board with moats and a knave piece who moved like a knight but could also jump diagonally, and only took pieces they went over like a checker, including the diagonal capture zone

Also had some thermoplastic pieces for chess including this knave, where the king was represented as some hulking beastperson and the queen as a a human but tempered by battle, pawns were kobolds... ahhh it was a thing

Also dreamt I stranded myself at my old school by locking my purse inside a room after hours but that's less interesting
