contract: kobolds-as-a-service, can be rented for short periods to increase a kobold swarm in case of hoard cleaning, siege reinforcements, scaring knights, or impressing diplomats

rehomed: kobolds that have lost their home or are in an overpopulated home, due to magical accidents, dragon marriage, getting lost on the way to the store, living at the aunt's place after burning the cave down one too many times (how the FUCK, it's STONE), or dragons who have become one of their own swarm and need a new dragon

refurbished: kobolds cleared of minor factory defects (like being human) and placed on the market. usually shy, but good breeding stock
