I took lots of notes.
I'm especially happy about how he focuses on minimizing complications. He keeps the scrotal skin connected so there's no risk of graft not taking. He uses a robot for extra precision. He has other experts he works with instead of trying to do everything himself.
Also his team seems very accessible. Like they'll actually reach out to help with paperwork.
Also also, they give you an epidural before surgery so there's a lot less pain.

@AzureHusky @elfi I was hoping I'd be under general during the actual surgery. Being awake for it sounds like a nightmare, even if I can't feel any pain.

@bunny_jane @elfi it zonked me out pretty great yeah. I fell asleep almost immediately after the spinal went in. That said my roommate said she was awake but was both numb and high as fuck so she just sang along with the radio in the OR. So she was awake but super not aware

@elfi @bunny_jane yes to epidural! I slept through surgery thanks to it hahah
(Note that with an epidural you may get some increased post-surgery depression in the few weeks after due to withdrawal. Still worth it but worth noting)
