I really wish the sRGB mode on my new monitor wasn't so crap, it's necessary to avoid oversaturation due to this being a monitor with a wider-than-sRGB color gamut, but you literally can't adjust the brightness when it's on, you're stuck with 90% brightness no matter what, which is usually much too bright for me

There's no saturation adjustment option on the monitor either, so you're stuck with oversaturated colors outside of sRGB mode

You can't adjust the color settings when the monitor's in sRGB mode either, so you can't change the color temperature or adjust the colors for basic calibration purposes

Basically the only way to be able to get the full features while avoiding oversaturation is to not use sRGB mode and instead adjust the saturation on the OS side, which has its own downsides (and can't be done on stuff other than PCs, like game consoles)

@ShiningWing that's such incredible bullshit, who even built that thing? Because I don't wanna get near their products if they're that hostile to adjustment

@elfi The monitor's the AOC 24G2, which is otherwise a really good monitor, but god this quirk's annoying for anything that isn't gaming
