I don't understand why
regular DP is 20 pins, but there are a lot of extra ground pins that I don't think are required for signal quality
you could repurpose the ground, config and power pins to have everything it needs through a regular DP cable

@tthbaltazar i think dp cables are supposed to short some of those pins together? (no idea dont trust me)
@ckie I could see that in standard configuration, but this is between the HMD and a breakout cable that becomes 12v barrel jack, DP and USB
