I noticed I have slipped into defaulting to singular "they" whenever I talk about someone. Even if I know their preferred pronoun is something different. I'm not sure if that's acceptable. So I'd like to know: Would you consider this offensive if it happened to you?
@TQ it specifically depends on the context for me. if it's because they don't know who i am or the cognitive load for it isn't there then i'm all for them being able to focus on their main thought more
