request for writing advice
I think I'm pretty alright at things like imagery and establishing atmosphere and mood and the like, but I seem to really struggle with actually creating a central conflict for a story. I don't know why in particular this eludes me, but if anyone has any ideas for how to improve, I'd appreciate it

@vultureculture hey i'm actually in the same bucket literally rn!! i just wrapped up the writing session :3
the atmosphere is nice in mine too but i'm not sure how to make the characters come to life - agency, at least in the story, is what makes it tick. then i extrapolate you can decide alternate paths for how their actions affect the world.
