tofu is basically a canvas for flavor and it'll go with most any spices, my family would pan fry it (cut into chunks and put in a pan of olive oil over medium-high heat until browned) and then use that as a meat substitute or just eat it straight
YMMV tho and I'm a terrible cook lol
@purringChaos the best advice I can offer is to drown it in hot sauce, sriracha works especially well for this and doesn't feel too out of place in more traditional Asian cuisines
