urgh, of course the app crashes every few minutes. in the past i never had a smartphone and just streamed with a laptop from somewhere with wifi coverage, figured "oh i can finally do this the easy way", but no. of course not

now do i try to figure out how the lte modem in my laptop works under linux, or do i just do this the stupid way and use a phone hotspot

and no there doesn't seem to be any other android app that lets me stream from a usb audio interface to an icecast stream and that works on lineage without google services. because of course not
