@deersyrup is subliminal also scifi? I read Blindsight last year because I am working through the list of Hugo Award winners and finalists for science fiction.
@thufie it's not, it's a summary of latest research (as of 2020) into subliminal processing and its effect on conscious experience. It's a little popsci, but it's got solid sourcing so I'm using it as a sort of catalogue of things to follow up on
it harmonizes well in a Godel Escher Bach-ian sense because it's all about aspects of intelligence and social communication that don't require conscious though or even awareness. It's like Blindsight is the narrative example and Subliminal is the post-narrative discussion
