Trying to get vale to run and absolutely losing my shit

I have decided that I'm going to physically beat vale into submission today

Someone on slack said I should just delete the parts of the packages that I don't like. This feels viscerally wrong to me

You don't install packages and then just mess around with them on your computer, do you? That's what git repos are for

Oh yeah my vale installation is in a git repo now so I can keep track of the changes

I am not only battling software, but also English grammar. I am only just now learning about the rules about quotation marks vs. periods and commas

And I'm sorry but these are all fucking wrong????
