transphobic "socialization" rhetoric
@so_treu Even if "socialization" were a thing, when people use this as an observation about each other they are assuming a whole damn lot about how you were raised. Usually, they don't even know you. At a rhetorical level the accuser is just assuming that you were raised a certain way out of hand to prove some shitty point. But it is just so nebulous what that is supposed to mean, that it is only useful to people who think witty-sounding debate victories reveal deep truths that stand up to critical reflection.
The appropriate response is "you don't know me enough to say that, but you've revealed that you were socialized as an asshole."
