I wonder what Linux setup would thrash an SD card the most and render it useless the quickest. What distro, settings, filesystem, etc. I suspect that a lot of modern practices which aim to optimize for other things (than flash storage lifetime) can cause much more degradation.
@thufie Linux kernel + initramfs + “init” script that just mounts the SD card and starts an infinite loop of writing random data to the card
