i find the 3do so interesting in that it tried to market itself as a "multimedia platform" rather than a "just" a video game console

from the box of a 3do game i own:

"what kinds of 3do titles would you be interested in purchasing in the near future?

1) interactive movies
2) interactive sports
3) life-like simulation
4) information retrieval
5) fictional software
6) video games
7) other"

funny how they were trying to frame some of these other things as being different than video games

waiting for some fan to start dumping all of wikipedia to interactive 3do discs so we can check off the "information retrieval" category :blobcatgiggle:

@eri @lyncia I'm guessing it means interactive storybooks and the like?
