Tomorrow I am going to attend a modelling convention in Kobe, planning to bring the plastic kits of a spider girl, a large android, a snake woman, a sci-fi submarine, etc.
And I hope I can meet inspiring works and watch creative techniques there.
My report for the previous event last year is:

Today's modelling exhibition consists of four genres: resin figurines, gunplas, girls plastic models, and others (such as Patlabor, Star Wars, Armored Core, etc).
Participants voted for their favorite works, and some outstanding works received gold medals and applause at the end of the event (attached image 1).
Above all, the unique piece which recreated the Votoms robot by gluing together plate parts single-handedly won the Grand Prize (image 4. It looks thin from the side, but from the front it appears as a large realistic model!). (2/n)
The second event of Character Modelling Convention in Kansai (関西キャラ模型の会). As for the resin kits, young female characters from comics and animes are still prevalent, but various kinds of expressive techniques are used such as delicate hair paintings and shiny metal plates. (3/n)
@mikoto its so small! it makes me feel very ":D"
@lyncia Ah, certainly the small Silver Hawk floating under the King Fossil looks cuter than it ordinarily flies in the cabinet!
