they should make beetles the size of medium-sized dogs. just imagine all the cool things your pet scarab could do:

- a scarab could probably be trained to be a mini forklift and help you move furniture around
- scarabs will defend your home and wrestle your enemies
- scarabs can fly, so you could train them as messenger beetles
- scarabs are extremely gooberish. just having one around would make your day so much better
- stag scarabs like flipping things over, and since beetles are inherently antifascist, they will instinctively flip over cop cars!
- if the scarab is big enough, i bet you could mount it and use it to fly around
