@lyncia one, pls excuse me I'm old. My favourite ships are the Aegis for regular and Judge Spear for when I wanna go fast. It's on semipermanent rotation in an ancient G07 tate cab. Need to fix my Raiden 2 board still 'cause it's got a bad joint on one of the customs somewhere but it's being shy about telling me which one. Pats again.

@ifixcoinops theres a secret that lets you play as the small helper ships. smaller, have the speed of whatever ship you highlighted, 5 way shot.

also heres a clip i made of a route i developed for the battleship boss

@ifixcoinops also just in case this interests you, Raiden DX is kind of a rebalanced Raiden 2 with multiple choices of stage routes and adjusted difficulty.

Player 2 (blue ship) on Raiden 1, 2, DX tends to have faster horizontal speed, while Player 1/red ship gets speedier vertical speed. Its not major but it isnt miniscule either. both player sides are viable regardless.

@lyncia oh cool! I normally play the blue ship in R2 anyway bc I prefer the bombs (they're more useful as a bullet sponge) but I didn't know about the movement speed difference, thanks! patpat

@lyncia recip-tip: even if you're in EU/AUS you're probably too young to have ever played on a Suzo 500 or one of those Australian MCA joysticks but seek one out if you ever get the chance. Weird looking but very sensitive and very short travel, perfect for shmups

@ifixcoinops Noted, thank you! I've been quite happy with my Sanwa joystick but that does sound interesting.
