it is 2025 and android wont allow me to write text in a text editor and then directly save to an external disk attatched via usb due to *squints* privacy and security reasons.

@lyncia bet it's the same "security reasons" that were why back in android 2.x (circa 2011), you needed to root your phone to take screenshots (or use janky third-party apps that involve persistent notifications)
