Like, I am a tech nerd *and* a supply chain nerd and I still couldn't tell you what the actual manufacturing cost of a lot of tech stuff is, I don't know how anyone else is expected to figure this out
@joepie91 it's funny, since i think most people who are more than like, 20 years old or so probably remember the price of something that has dropped drastically due mostly to the cutting out of a middleman or other similar reasons.
like, glasses, hearing aids, cell phone service (in the USA, especially long-distance and internet), probably lots of other stuff all used to be super expensive and now there are a lot of not very expensive options at basically the same quality.
@joepie91 💠 you're not, you're just supposed to be culpable when someone finally gets one over on you
@joepie91 You are probably aware, but there are also a lot of variables which influence manufacturing cost, like unit count, material choice, supplier choice etc.
Most of these are not easy to figure out.
