Reading these old articles about Google Wave sure is throwing up some fascinating fragments of history
@joepie91 Wave has alway been to me the epitome of something genuinely new and useful that Google threw away out of spite because it wasn't architected in a way that would grant them a monopoly 😔

@petrichor After looking into it, I'm not sure it would be commercially viable anywhere, to be honest. I feel like it's the kind of thing that can only really work as a passion project - because it requires an awful lot of development and maintenance work to keep working, but I don't think its model would actually work that well for most people.
@joepie91 Yeah, I suspect I'm remembering it through rose-tinted glasses...
