Never in my life have I seen an autistic person defended so vocally as when it's a grown man, the richest in the world, doing a Nazi salute to usher in a fascist president.

Not sure that's sending the right message to all the autistic 13 year olds out there who get in trouble weekly for actually making "odd gestures" that don't accompany millions of people losing their rights.

Actually on second thought I don't think most people are defending Musk per se. I think they're saying "I don't see that gesture as Nazi" because if they did they'd have to admit they support Nazis. So they look for excuses and land on autism or whatever. Musk himself is just the convenient vehicle for their desires, his personhood and psychology aren't interesting to them.
