Long shot but I don't suppose anyone from UKUUG follows me here?
The ukuug.org website still has info about the UK’s Unix and Open Systems User Group, but also has a HUGE amount of casino and crypto bobbins.
This seems... odd.
I had a link there from an animation I made for them many years ago, which I just stumbled across for the first time in an age. Have removed the link because casino and crypto bobbins, but it feels like something someone will want to do something about?
@eclectech I'm not associated with the UKUUG but there's usually little you can do about these - what often happens is that the domain doesn't get renewed, and a spammer buys it as it expires, then puts up a cached copy of the old site (pulled from eg. the Wayback machine) but with spam inserted, to try and profit off the domain reputation. It's totally outside the control of the original domain owner in those cases.
@joepie91 Yeah, I figured there's a chance it's just been broken into though, in which case they should be able to do something.
I can see they've changed their name but the new site links back to the original, so I think they will have intended to renew at least.
