"Hm, I wonder why there's no QUIC or HTTP/3 support in Node.js yet"

"Well you shouldn't be using Node.js for anything anyway"

What is wrong with these people?

@joepie91 even the entire sense of self worth is held together by the weak glue of preference in technology stack there is not much else one can do to feel better about themselves other than putting others down

re: grumbling, hackernews

@joepie91 probably because the OpenSSL project doesn't want to implement it, curl was also annoyed by that

re: grumbling, hackernews

@joepie91 to be fair, I did have stability issues with Node's http2 implementation that one time I decided to run it publicly. So would indeed be wary when QUIC does arrive.

But I'm guessing the context is "javascript bad lol".

re: grumbling, hackernews

@virtulis That's almost certainly exactly what it is. Otherwise a rationale would've been provided...

@joepie91 idk how many use cases really need http3. It's not even considered stable in Nginx yet 🤷‍♀️

grumbling, hackernews

@sasha Thing is, there are more usecases than "talking to webservers on the public internet", and it's absurd for people to assume things about other people's usecases

@joepie91 people will blame and shit on everything besides the actual cause of most software being shitty: capitalism
