@alice@mk.nyaa.place literally saw this today
i'm tempted to go to vivaldi ngl
@keldesoto@floofy.city vivaldi has many other problems, unfortuantely (chrome-based so helps google, doesn't follow system dark style etc)
@alice@mk.nyaa.place yea but at least they don't ship a bunch of unwanted junk that shouldn't be there in the first place (such as the AI garbage)
also, browser engine at this rate, to me, doesn't really matter much as long as it works.
@keldesoto@floofy.city I mean once they don't treat linux as afterthought... (mozilla does too but a few red hat people push for things to get done anyway)
Like as I said Vivaldi doesn't support fdo dark style. It has an option in settings still, it just doesn't work. And there are plenty more things like that.
@keldesoto@floofy.city plus I mean once chrome prevents ad blockers from working vivaldi will likely be affected too...
@alice@mk.nyaa.place then there's no choice.
@alice@mk.nyaa.place this is just awful.
@alice@mk.nyaa.place and i hate mozilla with a passion but by god i can't even find a single browser that's better than them.
@keldesoto@floofy.city on ios safari is pretty good, tho on linux it doesn't exist
@alice@mk.nyaa.place yea that's what i use on macOS and iOS, but i haven't found a proper browser that works fine and doesn't have corporate nonsense on Linux (well there's librewolf but it's too aggressive with how it handles privacy and content)
@keldesoto@floofy.city @alice@mk.nyaa.place have you tried orion on mac/iOS? i heard their version of webkit is better optimised than apple's and on iOS you can get extensions
@tauon@possum.city @keldesoto@floofy.city safari on ios has extensions too
@tauon @alice @keldesoto (Those are called WebExtensions fwiw)
