I might be in a huge minority here, but I'm realizing how little of an introduction I write to emails. More often than not I write a "hello" or something similar, then just immediately go straight into whatever I want from the person I'm sending a message to. And I much prefer that people do the same in response. I don't know why people need so many casual things before they can actually start writing out what they want
