Have you ever experienced exploding head syndrome?
@njion I remember this being a thing in the 90s, apparently it was a thing where your head *felt* like it was exploding, but a lot of people heard the name and just assumed that one's head could literally spontaneously explode and that this was happening on the regular to people????
@nyankat it's a phenomenon where while falling asleep or waking up you hear an extremely loud explosion-like sound sometimes appearing with a flash of light or pain

@njion @nyankat Huh, I think I might actually have the same thing occasionally. Shame I wasn't aware of this before, would've been interesting to track whether it was affected by my taking nifedipine (since that's mentioned in the Wikipedia article as a potential remedy). Wonder if amlodipine has a similar effect.
