apparently #nix:nixos.org is in a broken state due to matrix protocol issues so they had to make it read only and switch to #users:nixos.org. totally a usable and well designed protocol
@leo So I just inquired about this and apparently the alias change is entirely unrelated to the broken room (which would make sense, as a room can be 'upgraded' and fixed in-place and doesn't require an alias change)
