@halfy Hot take: I actually think that "they are legally required to do so, or they will be kicked out of those countries" is not a valid justification at all, even if it were true.
If the government saying "you have to remove this" is enough to get them to do so, that means they are untrustworthy from a human rights perspective.
If they, with all their power and influence, are not willing to 'take the bullet', then they should be held fully accountable for that choice *regardless* of what the law says. They clearly cannot be trusted to hold power.
So yes, I expect them to break unjust laws, even (or especially) as a large corporation. Protecting their bottom line instead (because let's be real, that's what this is), means that they can never be an ally to the vulnerable.
And if someone feels that "you cannot expect a legal corporation to break laws", then I look forward to their contribution to the anticapitalist struggle, such that those corporations no longer hold any power, because clearly corporations are not suitable for the job then.
